Saint Patrick— Framed Hand-Carved Fine Art Glass
Saint Patrick, Patron Saint of Ireland
Hand-Carved Fine Art Glass
This special edition framed glass carving depicts Saint Patrick, adorned in Bishop's robes and mitre, carrying a staff and holding aloft a shamrock. Sparkling crystal embellishments add a splash of green and lovely light reflection to the carving.
Saint Patrick is one of the Patron Saints of Ireland, best known for his missionary work in the 5th Century. As he traveled the folklore-steeped countryside, legends arose about the many great feats and miracles he performed - stories which live on as a part of Irish storytelling traditions and history to this day.
As a way to connect with the Irish people, Saint Patrick incorporated existing Celtic cultural symbols into his teachings - most notably presenting the three-leafed Shamrock and Triskele as a representation of the Holy Trinity.
Saint Patrick's Day, or the Feast of Saint Patrick, is celebrated on March 17th.
